We Make Tastebuds Happy
North Feasts was founded with the idea of bringing our best recipes to the forefront of the local Calgary real food movement. We combine our passion of flawless service, local ingredients, culinary expertise and nutritional considerations towards each event we cater. We are currently expanding our meal preparation department to focus on custom designed plant-based nutrition as the demand and need is growing in Calgary.
Laetitia represented Alberta and placed in three national competitions, Skills Canada, the Canadian Culinary Federation and the JOEY Restaurant Group’s Top Apprentice Competition 2018. She has also competed in several local Calgary competitions, including winning a celebrity cook-off with Olympic curler Cheryl Bernard!
After graduating from SAIT’s culinary program, Laetitia staged and worked at destination restaurants in Montreal, as well as Saltlik and Teatro in Calgary. She managed as a sous and chef a private event space in Calgary for 5 years.
At 24, she is a young with an evolving style. She was the sous chef for Feeding the 5000 in 2017 and 2018. Working alongside Chef Andrew Hewson from SAIT, 5,000 portions of food were made using landfill-destined ingredients. This zero-waste approach to food lends itself to her vision of simple yet well thought out dishes through the interplay of taste and environmental responsibility.
She is currently taking a break from the restaurant industry and focussing on her studies in Holistic Nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She is doing this while catering with North Feasts! Laetitia is planning on travelling and working in destination restaurants abroad once graduated.
When she isn’t cooking, Laetitia, or LT to friends and colleagues, can be found spending time with friends or cycling around the city. She holds a passion for plant based powered performance and hopes to expand in the future.
